The weather was very kind to those that attended the 2010 Poole ACE / Old Ben Fishing Festival.

12 Boats left the harbour on what was a dry mild Dorset day.

Thankfully several boats did manage to find fish, others were not so lucky but a good day was had by all that ventured out. The event sponsors “Pulp Friction” were very much in evidence as their staff handed out baseball caps bearing their company name to everyone at the registration point.  On the boats return, cloth branded goodie bags were given out to all containing a pen-stress cube – note pad – pen etc plus an umbrella.

The industry has over the years gone through many changes, some to do with technology, some to to do with a changing society, some more political in nature and some just down-right-mad (or are they?).
