We are now looking for a Retail Account Manager to be responsible for growing sales & subscriptions at retail, working in partnership with multiple retail groups and key independent retailers through commercial strategy and retail marketing.

About the Role

You’ll grow sales of our newspapers & subscriptions through marketing initiatives, home news delivery promotions, bespoke commercial initiatives adapted to individual groups or retailers.

Key Responsibilities

Devise a strategy and marketing plan for independent retailers.
Agree promotional and marketing plans with all national accounts in line with marketing strategy and budgets.
Work alongside retail trade bodies to maintain and improve relationships with independent retailers, attend trade events representing GNM.
Find opportunities to promote Print subscriptions and Guardian Weekly through retail channels feeding into marketing and product partners where appropriate.

About You

Newspaper or magazine circulation experience.
Experience of dealing with multiple groups or agencies.
Good understanding and extensive knowledge of the media and in particular of the press market and trends.
Good grasp of data and proven ability to analyse performance and act on the findings.
