In their recently published survey of over 2400 UK convenience stores the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) revealed that the share of customer activity had reduced from 4.0% to 3.2% a 20% reduction

Store Numbers Increasing

Whilst store numbers had increased from 50,747 to 51,524 and the emergence of increasing numbers of couples with young children visiting stores the share of activity by consumers for newspapers and magazines had fallen whilst categories such as alcohol continue to increase.
